Lhtako Dené Affordable Housing | Lhtako Dené Nation

This thoughtfully planned residential development in Quesnel, BC brings together a diverse mix of housing options designed to meet the needs of families and communities. The project consists of ten ground oriented homes, offering a blend of rowhouse style units and single-family residences, each carefully designed for comfort, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

The development includes four 2-bedroom rowhouse units of approximately 950 ft², two 3-bedroom rowhouse units of approximately 1,200 ft², and four spacious 4-bedroom single-family homes of approximately 1,400 ft². Each home is designed as a single-storey structure built on slab-on-grade foundations, with the option for crawlspaces available as required.

Sustainability is a key driver of the project. All homes are designed to be solar-ready and are targeted to be net-zero ready wherever feasible. At a minimum, the development will achieve BC Energy Step Code 4, supporting reduced energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and improved long-term operational performance.

With approximately 11,800 ft² of total suspended structure, this development reflects a balanced approach to efficient design, livability, and environmental responsibility; delivering high quality homes that contribute to a resilient and forward-thinking community in Quesnel.
