This project, Area 27, delivered a modern, purpose-built office and meeting facility designed for flexibility, performance, and long-term durability. The two-story structure provided approximately 10,000 square feet of suspended floor area, including architecturally integrated canopies that enhanced both functionality and visual identity. The Area 27 clubhouse incorporated a mass timber system featuring glulam beams and a CLT roof deck, contributing to both structural efficiency and architectural warmth.

The lower level was partially embedded below grade, optimizing site use while improving thermal performance and spatial efficiency. A coordinated system of retaining walls supported the surrounding landscape and ensured seamless integration between the building and its terrain.

The structural design incorporated multiple framing schemes to achieve an optimal balance of strength, constructability, and cost efficiency. Favorable subsurface conditions allowed for conventional spread footings, enabling a straightforward and economical foundation solution without the need for deep foundations or raft slabs.

The completed facility provides a robust structural platform that supports contemporary workplace needs, efficient construction, and a clean, enduring architectural expression.
